Kedarnath: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat reached the sacred Kedarnath Dham today and offered special darshan of Baba Kedar. He participated in the morning aarti and expressed his devotion. After the darshan, while speaking to the media, the former Chief Minister shared his deep emotions regarding the remarkable reconstruction of Kedarnath. He said that after the devastating 2013 disaster, no one had imagined that the Kedarnath temple would emerge in such a beautiful, grand, and divine form.

Recalling the 2013 calamity, Tirath Singh Rawat said, “At that time, the entire country was in shock. Seeing nature’s fierce form, it felt impossible to restore Kedarnath to its former glory. The temple area had turned into a pile of debris, and destruction was visible everywhere. But today, the same Kedarnath stands as a shining example before the whole world with a new identity.”

He gave full credit for this miraculous transformation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that PM Modi played the biggest role in the reconstruction of Kedarnath. The former Chief Minister said that PM Modi took up this task as his personal mission. Due to his visionary approach, continuous monitoring, and tireless efforts, Kedarnath has not only regained its old grandeur but has also developed into a world-class spiritual center.

“Due to day-and-night hard work and strong willpower, today lakhs of devotees are reaching here without any trouble,” he added.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12-year tenure has taken India to new heights. The grand reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham is the most inspiring achievement of this period,” Rawat said. During this time, the country witnessed an unprecedented wave of development. Under PM Modi’s leadership, there has been historic progress in infrastructure, Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, health, education, and agriculture sectors. The welfare of the poor, women’s empowerment, and holistic development of the Himalayan regions have changed the face of India. The reconstruction of Kedarnath is a part of this comprehensive development vision.

After the 2013 disaster, when Kedarnath was completely devastated, PM Modi turned it into his personal resolve. Thanks to his vision and continuous follow-up, grand ghats were built in the temple area, modern facilities were developed, a helipad was constructed, better roads were built, and cleanliness arrangements were strengthened. These efforts are turning the dreams of lakhs of pilgrims into reality.

Tirath Singh Rawat openly praised the modern facilities created at Kedarnath Dham. He said, “Today, better roads, helipad, modern medical centers, and excellent accommodation arrangements are available for pilgrims. All this is the result of the Prime Minister’s master plan. Every pilgrim coming here can feel the government’s efforts. Kedarnath has now become not just a center of faith, but also an excellent example of facilities.”

The former Chief Minister also appreciated the cooperation between the state and central governments. He said that the united efforts of both governments during difficult times became the foundation of this reconstruction’s success. His statement during the sacred Char Dham Yatra is infusing new energy and enthusiasm among devotees.

The reconstruction of Kedarnath was not merely the repair of a temple but has become a symbol of comprehensive development. Special emphasis was given in this project to environmental protection, sustainable tourism, and modern infrastructure. New buildings, pilgrim facilitation centers, digital monitoring systems, and improved security arrangements were developed in the temple complex. The expansion of helicopter services has made the journey easier for devotees from far-flung areas.

Tirath Singh Rawat appealed to all devotees to undertake the Kedarnath Yatra. Stressing environmental protection, he said, “Do not use plastic and contribute to keeping the travel routes and the Dham clean. Kedarnath is a symbol of our faith, and keeping it clean is the responsibility of all of us.”

This reconstruction of Kedarnath is not only strengthening Uttarakhand’s spiritual heritage but is also inspiring the entire country that with the right intentions, visionary leadership, and collective efforts, even the impossible becomes possible. The development happening in this sacred Himalayan land under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a priceless gift for future generations.

This reconstruction journey began in 2014 when PM Modi visited Kedarnath and prepared a blueprint for the development of the entire area. Today, this Dham is not only of religious importance but is also making a significant contribution to the economic development of Uttarakhand. Lakhs of devotees are reaching here during the Char Dham Yatra and are benefiting from modern facilities.
